Name Calling, Truth Telling & Simply Being

July 1, 2016

I am not a victim of circumstance. Nor am I a victim of the system currently in place.

If I say, “I need to unpack the dishwasher before I write down my stream-of-consciousness brilliant idea…” then I do so because I have decided that this is necessary; knowing I have a choice. Knowing I can change my mind and make a different commitment each time a brilliant idea comes upon me.

As un.fortunate a saying as it is, there is more than one way to skin a cat speaks to the diversity and flexibility of HOW things come about whence we have relinquished what we think we know about the world.

For instance, to be a Scribe is not to be a slave, or a servant; not a master skill, nor a special gift. It is simply the name we give what it looks like we are doing; the label we have applied to what it means when one feels the irrepressible compulsion to write on matters that we each digest in our own unique way [according to what we believe is going on].

And while it is intriguing to pose absolutes on the nature of ‘what is’ or to propose the ideal way to be… this Scribe, is unconcerned with such things. This Scribe is committed to unpacking the dishwasher before penning the words that ask to be inked; happy to leave whomever reads this to their inclinations of what is going on.
